How to install Alone In The Dark (AITD) without internet connection

To show you that this can be done without internet connection.
1. Install Apache Web Server: download it from http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi
2. Copy alone.exe (get it from AITD crack) to Apache\htdocs folder
(i.e. C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs)
3. Copy game.ico from AITD source installation folder to Apache\htdocs
and rename it to favicon.ico
4. Open C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and add this line at the bottom:
127.0.0.1 aitd.update.atari.com
5. Install AITD and enjoy!

Thanks man ! it works. I have the original copy of the game but don't know why it wont download the exe from atari website even if i'm connected to internet.

just do step #4 but replace aitd.update.atari.com with localhost
